If you’re working from home during the pandemic, you may find yourself hunched over a kitchen table, lounging on a sofa, and staring into screens for hours. That’s tough on your body. That’s why we created Yoga for Home Office Workers.
Add the stress of juggling work and home, and you may be feeling aches and pains such as sore wrists, stiff necks, cranky shoulders and backaches. To meet your needs, we created this series of online classes designed to help you stay active, even through the winter.
Here are reasons why home office workers embrace yoga.
Our online classes via Zoom fit your home working schedule. We keep class sizes small (15 students max) so you get personal attention. Choose from:
- 30-minute classes twice a week for $60 a month.
- 60-minute classes 3 times a week for $90 a month.
- Private lessons are also available. Call for details.
Our classes are geared to fit your needs, whether you’re brand-new to yoga or an experienced yogi.
Practice yoga in your home office
You’ll practice breathing, stretching, and yoga poses to do from your home office. We will focus on:
- Opening the shoulders
- Relieving back pain
- Moving all joints: fingers, wrists, knees, ankles and feet
- Stretching hamstrings.
- Working the hips
- Gaining calmness, clarity and peace of mind.
Your teacher Ellen Von Ohlen holds an Alignment-Based Yoga 500-Hour Teacher Training Certification, and holds the Ace Senior Fitness Certification. She has 8 years of experience teaching classes at Waubonsee Community College, Aurora Yoga Center, and Hometown Fitness.
Ellen has worked one-on-one with clients with scoliosis, Alzheimer’s, cancer and other disabling conditions, as well as with veterans and seniors.
